What is one thing that sets you apart from other Carrie Underwood fans? I am not normally one to be in large groups of people, as it gets my anxiety going pretty intense. But Carrie is am entirely different story! She is my go to when I have anxiety, so it works out perfectly. I am willing to spend a lot of money to get to her shows, and it was an honor to meet her!

Tell us your favorite Carrie Underwood related story: While mine isn’t a very tragic story like I know some have, mine was still difficult. For most of school I was bullied almost all the time. I have always struggled with insecurity, and this just made that morph into anxiety. To this day I have anxiety, but I’ve just gotten better at hiding it. When I discovered Carrie in 2006, it was…instant. While ”my song” (So Small) didn’t come out until 2007, her first album struck home from the first note. Carrie has helped me learn how to deal with my anxiety: express my emotion and frustration through my music. She inspired me to pick up my guitar again. While I am not very good right now, I’m determined to learn. Carrie has been a true inspiration and hero for me, and she helped me get through some very dark periods of my life. I didn’t take faith seriously until about 5 years ago, so I would naturally cling to the person who gave me hope and/or strength. For me, that person was Carrie. While Jesus is now my Lord and Savior, Carrie is my hero. Thank you, Carrie, for helping a scared little girl grow, and learn to stand up for herself.

Tell us your favorite Carrie Underwood related story: I have met Carrie twice, the first time without my husband. This past year, he won a meet & greet with me. It was such a fun evening getting to share that together. He talked with Carrie about Checotah, as he went to school in Oklahoma. It was special to see her talk about Oklahoma, and her love of her hometown. Sharing that with my husband and getting to meet Carrie a second time, well, that’s a moment we will never forget.

“We had the best time on ‘The Storyteller Tour’ performing for the fans last year,” said the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. “The amazing production and 360-degree stage let me get closer to them than ever before. I saw so many of their social media posts asking for a release of the show and we knew we had to do it. I’m so happy to get this out and relive the most fun I’ve ever had on tour!”

“The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round” received rave reviews for its massive in-the-round 360-degree stage production as well as Carrie’s command of it.

“…the in-the-round setting provides each concert goer with the best experience possible. Simpler still is the storytelling aspect of the show and country music’s reliance on conveying memorable stories in song.”- RollingStoneCountry.com

“The most stunning part of the production however, remains Underwood’s voice, strong and nuanced.” – The Boston Globe

“Lasers and swaying spotlights and fireworks and explosions all added to the spectacle. But make no mistake, Underwood was the star of the show.” – Florida Times-Union

“…one of the strongest and most engaging performers in today’s music.” – Pittsburgh Tribune

“Carrie has developed a fantastic stage show … that manages to be both visually dazzling and intimate at the same time.”- Country music historian Bob Oermann

“Up-tempo or ballad, Underwood makes sure that every song has its moment – and it’s clear that now is hers.” – The Tennessean

The tour travelled over 50,000 miles among 18 trucks and 8 buses across North America. Each show consisted of 112 automation cues controlling all elements of the 150 foot-long in-the-round stage including 7 stage elevators, 3 rings of video screen, a revolving central stage, and mirror ball, through 56 axes of motion. The tour used over 51,000 pounds of carbon dioxide, and dropped over 400 pounds of Mylar. Carrie’s wardrobe, created by Emmy-winning costume designer Marina Toybina, consisted of 32 custom made costumes and 214 pieces of jewelry, allowing for different outfit combinations across the show’s 5 Acts in each city. The tour’s Creative Director was Barry Lather (Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Usher, Michael Jackson) and Butch Allen (Metallica, The Eagles, Eric Church, No Doubt) was the Production & Lighting Designer.

What is one thing that sets you apart from other Carrie Underwood fans? From the moment she auditioned I picked her. Voted as many times as I was allowed to. I absolutely adore her music. However, what I admire most is what a wonderful role model she is. She has always been true to herself. Because of this, I feel like I know her. She is a huge part of what makes me the woman I am today. For her influence in that, I’ll be forever grateful. I usually cry throughout her concerts because I respect her so much.

Tell us your favorite Carrie Underwood related story: I’ll never forget the day I met Carrie at the Bayou Country Superfest. I was shaking. The other fans calmed me down. I gave her a turtle (I have a matching one) and invited her to my wedding.
At the next concert; I made a poster that had a shelf and my turtle sat on it so she could see. Her PR person came to the front row to get a photo of me and my poster. Carrie waived at me and my best friend as soon as she came out! I’ve always wondered where that picture ended up. I love you Carrie!
