NASHVILLE, Tenn – (August 30, 2016) – Seven-time Grammy winner and Pollstar’s three-time top female country touring artist, Carrie Underwood, will launch the fall leg of “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round,” the biggest tour of her career, tomorrow night in Anchorage, Alaska. Billboard ranked the tour the #1 country tour for the first half of 2016.

The fall tour dates of “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round” begins with Carrie’s inaugural performance in Alaska tomorrow night, and will include stops at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN and Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. When the tour wraps at the end of November she will have played 82 arenas on tour.  In December Carrie will join Keith Urban on the Australian and New Zealand leg of his “ripCORD World Tour 2016.”

During the first half of 2016 “The Storyteller Tour” rolled in to 47 cities as well as seven different countries, playing to nearly 600,000 people since the tour launched January 30 in Jacksonville, FL. The dramatic in-the-round stage production has been seen by 360-degree sell-out arena crowds across North America in cities such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, St. Louis, Denver, Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago, Toronto to name just a few. The tour crossed from one coast to the other coast and cities in between as well as traveling overseas to play in Sweden, Norway, Scotland, England, and Ireland as part of Country to Country (C2C), Europe’s biggest country music festival.

“The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round,”
one of her most spectacular concert tours to date, has caught the attention of fans and music critics alike because of the stand-out performances and the dynamic production.

The show “is a no-expense-spared spectacle that highlights her approachable beauty, her roar of a voice and a substantive set of songs that have commanded the charts since her ‘American Idol’ victory a long decade ago.”
Atlanta Journal Constitution.

“The most stunning part of the production however, remains Underwood’s voice, strong and nuanced.”
The Boston Globe

“Lasers and swaying spotlights and fireworks and explosions all added to the spectacle. But make no mistake, Underwood was the star of the show.” – Florida Times-Union

The 2016 tour is in support of Carrie’s Gold-certified Storyteller album, which made a historic debut in October 2015 when she became the only artist in the chart’s 51-year history to have each of her first six albums to enter the chart at #1. The album has produced three #1 singles so far with “Smoke Break,” “Heartbeat” and “Church Bells” with it’s fourth single, “Dirty Laundry,” currently climbing the charts.

A donation of $1 from each ticket sold on the U.S. dates of “The Storyteller Tour” will be contributed to the C.A.T.S Foundation to help aid its causes including Checotah, Oklahoma’s education and literacy programs. Established in 2009, the C.A.T.S. (Checotah Animal, Town, and School) Foundation helps with general causes, needs, and services in the area of Checotah, Oklahoma, Carrie’s hometown, to directly impact the community.

Carrie Underwood Airs “Dirty Laundry”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 18, 2016) – Fresh off of last week’s dual #1 party celebrating her 23rd and 24th chart-topping singles, seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner Carrie Underwood will release her new single, “Dirty Laundry,” to country radio on August 22. It is the fourth single from her gold-certified, fifth studio album, Storyteller, which has produced three consecutive #1 singles, “Smoke Break,” “Heartbeat” and “Church Bells.” Dubbed “deliciously dark” by the Boston Globe, and “elegantly structured and technically impressive” by The New York Times, “Dirty Laundry” is produced by Jay Joyce and written by Zach Crowell, Ashley Gorley and Hillary Lindsey.

“I love the relaxed groove of the song combined with the vengeful storyline,” says Underwood. “That combination of strong, empowering lyrics set against the cool, laid-back sound, puts a new spin on the subject matter that feels really fresh and cool.”

Already a fan favorite on the road, Carrie’s Storyteller Tour launches its fall leg August 31st in Anchorage, Alaska, and will run through November. In December, Carrie will play shows in New Zealand and Australia as part of Keith Urban’s “ripCORD World Tour 2016.” For a full list of upcoming tour dates, visit www.carrieunderwood.fm.

Carrie Underwood Rings in 24th #1 Single as “Church Bells” Becomes Her 3rd Consecutive Chart-topper from Storyteller!

Nashville, TN, July 18, 2016 – Seven-time GRAMMY® Award winner Carrie Underwood scores her 24th #1 single of her career with “Church Bells,” the third consecutive chart-topping single from her current album, Storyteller.  Landing the #1 slot on both the Billboard and Mediabase country airplay charts, the song also spent two weeks at #1 on Canada’s Mediabase country airplay chart and three weeks at #1 on Australia’s country airplay chart.

Produced by Mark Bright and written by Zach Crowell, Brett James, and Hillary Lindsey, “Church Bells” was singled out by Entertainment Weekly as a “twangy roof-raiser.” In fact, Underwood virtually brought the house down when she performed the prime-time television debut of “Church Bells” at the 51st Annual ACM Awards on CBS in April which drew a standing ovation from the audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. “Nothing short of spectacular” is how Rolling Stone Country recapped the ACM Awards moment.

The music video for “Church Bells,” directed by Wayne Isham and filmed during a live concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, is currently #1 on GAC’s fan-voted Top 20 Country Countdown. The goal of director Isham, whose director credits include Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Metallica and Britney Spears, was to capture the country star’s energetic live performance and fans’ reactions and edit it into a 3:40 snapshot of a Carrie Underwood The Storyteller Tour – Stories In The Round experience. Watch the video here: http://smarturl.it/cuchurchbellsvevo.

Underwood begins the second leg of The Storyteller Tour on August 31st in Anchorage, Alaska.

Look for Carrie Underwood to kick off the 2016 season of football and a brand new theme song for “Sunday Night Football” on September 11th on NBC prior to the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals game. Titled “Oh, Sunday Night,” the new song is based on Underwood’s 2014 hit collaboration with Miranda Lambert, “Somethin’ Bad.”

And, later this fall, the country star joins Brad Paisley as co-hosts of the 50th Annual CMA Awards on November 2nd broadcasting live from Bridgestone Arena on ABC 8-11 pm Eastern/7-10 pm Central.
