CarrieUnderwood.fm is a growing network so you can stay up to date with latest news and happenings — not only about Carrie, but also with your friends and other members as well.  Here is a simple how-to guide outlining some of the Official Carrie Underwood Fan Club features to help you get started:

The orange “welcome” menu in the upper right hand corner is your tool to update your account information.  Once logged in, the navigation bar directly under the main navigation is where you can create and edit your profile, post blog entries, and find your friends within the community.

Blogs are a great way to discuss your personal thoughts or inform others about events and exciting things going on in your life. Using the blog feature is easy—first off, click on My Page in the “welcome” menu then click on “Blog” under Update Your Page.  “Headline” is where you can enter the title or subject of your new blog entry. Your blog entries can be public for everyone on the site to read or you can choose to share them only among friends. “Lead” is the entryway or a quick abstract for your blog, but it’s not always necessary; here you can write a small blurb to entice members to take a peek at your post.  “Post” is the core of your blog where you can post as little or as much as you want to keep your friends and other members updated with your thoughts.  Just click “Publish” to post your blog and start sharing!

The Photos section is where you can share personal photos or photos of Carrie you took at events!  Simply click on “Share a Photo” to upload the photos you would like to share.  Keep in mind that photos must be 640×480 or 480×640 pixels in size and must use the JPEG format.  If your photos are not these sizes, they will be cropped and re-sized accordingly so it’s best crop/re-size files in advance.  You can enter a caption for your photo and select whether you’d like to share it with the public, paid members only, or just your friends.

The Profile section is a dynamic feature allowing you to contribute to the CarrieUnderwood.fm community by giving members a little insight as to who you are.  In your profile there are many ways for you to open up and tell us a little about yourself, and if you’re not comfortable filling out all of the sections, don’t worry – they are all optional! “About Me” is a place where you can write about yourself in your own words; this might include your favorite hobbies, movies, books, music and just about anything you want. Meeting your new friends face-to-face is not always so easy in the online world, so we’ve given you the option to post a headshot of yourself that you can share only among your friends or with everyone in the community by uploading a JPEG from your computer.  Your Badge is the icon that will show next to your username in the FANS section — this can be anything you want and you can change your Badge as often as you please by simply uploading another JPEG.

Want to share your CarrieUnderwood.fm page with your friends?  Now it’s easy!  You can now turn your page into it’s own site by creating an easy to remember address.  Simply click on Settings under the Update Your Page menu to get started.  “Address” is where you can select any name for your site, i.e. YourSiteName.CarrieUnderwood.fm.  You can also give your site a Title and upload a header to your site.  Once your site is created, you can share your URL address with friends so they can stay up to date on what’s going on with you!

Excited by the latest new post? Love that picture of Carrie in the photo gallery? Like what your friend has to say in her blog? Share your thoughts! Members now have the option to post comments in response to news, photos, blogs, and more.  Simply click on the comment bubble by the desired news, photo, or blog entry and if you want to post your thoughts, enter a blurb in the “Post A Comment” box and click “Post Comment” to publish it on the site. 

If you’re interested to know how many members will be going to the event you plan on attending or if you want to meet up with other fans, then be sure to RSVP to shows and events you plan to attend, might attend or will not attend on the CarrieUnderwood.fm website.  To confirm your RSVP, select the “More Info”button next to the event of your choice and choose your response to the question, “Are you going to this event?”  You can also post comments about events by entering your thoughts in the “Post A Comment” box and then clicking “Post Comment” to publish it on the site.

Lastly, all comments and photos can be moderated by members in addition to our site administrators. If you see any inappropriate language or photos, you can flag the comment or photo for review by site administrators. Be sure to be cognizant of the material you posts, because too many flags can lead to further disciplinary actions.

Nashville, TN – (October 15, 2007) – Reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist Carrie Underwood will begin television appearances this weekend to promote her new album, Carnival Ride, due in stores October 23. Her first performance is set as part of the Grand Ole Opry’s 82nd Birthday Bash Celebration on Saturday, October 20 when Underwood makes the television debut of her co-written single “So Small” on Opry Live on GAC. Additional appearances include Good Morning America October 23 LIVE in Times Square, Live with Regis and Kelly October 24 and on Friday, October 26 Underwood will perform on the CBS Early Show.

After wrapping up in New York City next week, Underwood will head to the City of Angels for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Monday, October 29 followed the next week by a performance on The Ellen Show November 5. Later in the week Underwood will make her third appearance on the 41st Annual CMA Awards set for November 7 in Nashville where she is a triple nominee. Underwood is also slated for another appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on November 13.

CMT Insider will air an exclusive interview with Underwood and host Katie Cook on Saturday, October 20. GAC’s Country Across America will also feature a sit down with host Storme Warren on Thursday, October 18, and Underwood will also appear on GAC Nights October 23.

More television appearances will be announced soon for November and December.
